We felt that leaning too heavily on an anti-hate (anti-bullying, anti-racism..) message alone would not be very effective, which is why we also focused on promoting positive character attributes. Though interventions and multiple case studies of disrespectful/racist behavior in school settings or at work, we give participants the opportunities to identify instances of racism, hate or bullying and the potential consequences for those who perpetrate, suffer from and witness such behavior.
We examine not only the physical aspects of bullying, but also how relationships can quickly escalate to issues such as spreading rumors, excluding peers, and withdrawals. Our goal is to engage stakeholders in dialogue about how to really change the culture so that racist or hateful behaviors don’t exist. The goal is to prevent racist or hateful behaviors before they start.
